Geek Stuff :)

Well since I got a spinning wheel I decided I'd better start looking things up. So while I was reading this blog (I think it was a blog) I found this link to a cool plying technique called the Andean Bracelet.
It also lead me to this awesome store called Spunky Eclectic.
They have really good prices compared to competitors and their fiber looks amazing!

Fiber Batts!

Angora blend spinning batt in red, purples, and pinks. 3.9 oz . The light texture makes it extremely soft and fluffy! Colorway "Calypso"No just any fiber batts, Angora Fiber Batts! I was Etsy surfing and found this amazing shop called AbbiesAngoraArt. She sells gorgeous batts in unique colors. She hand dyes them herself and they're made mostly from Angora from her bunnies. I also found SpunRightRound which is going to be at the Roc Day in Ithaca, NY selling stuff. To learn more you can check out the info on Etsy.
Merino Roving - Hand Painted - Hand Dyed for Spinning or Felting - 4oz - TARTThe batt on top is from AbbiesAngoraArt and the roving on the bottom is from SpunRightRound. Don't judge based on the photos shown. There are so
many shown I had a hard time trying to choose photos to post.
 Have fun!

Sorry!

Image of Thigh High Footless SocksI know I said I would spend my whole vacation working on this afghan but I found an old project that I really want to finish. My mom says they're ugly but I LOVE them, which may be because I have no fashion sense whatsoever as a geek teen, but nonetheless they rock! If you want the pattern it's free on Lion Brand, it's called the Thigh High Footless Socks.

Vacation Project!

After school Friday we have 16 days of vacation from school. It's excessive but awesome! I'm so excited and I decided I needed a knit afghan because the crochet one I have is beautiful but the design has so many holes in it so it is extremely cold. Loving warmth and knitting I decided I'd try to embark on The Mindless Knitting, TV Watching, Scrap User-Upper Afghan.
I will certainly have fun on this project and I hope I get it done in the 16 days allotted.

The Fiber Challenge!

I've decided that I need to spend more time on my fiber projects. So I'm starting the Fiber Challenge. And this challenge is not the kind a doctor would give you. . .usually. Every day try to spend at least an hour on your fiber projects, no matter how angry they make you.
I wish you luck! -SpinKnitLove :)

Drop Spindles Galore!

I am so excited! I THINK I've convinced my mom to let me get a couple more drop spindles [:)]because I just broke my only one. :(

They're gorgeous, hand painted, and . . . on sale! I'm not even going to tell where I'm getting them because I'm scared someone else will get them and then I'll be devastated. So 'til Christmas 2014 I'll be working on drop spindles unless someone buys me an Ashford Kiwi 2 for Christmas. Oh well at least until then I'll have beautimous drop spindles to work on.

P.S. Isn't it so amazing?

Fun for Everyone!

Hi followers, currently oh which I have none, but I shall not give up hope! I've decided that I'm going to make a mega post! One for knitters, crocheters, and spinners. Sorry I don't do anything for weavers because I don't even know how to weave.
Merino Roving - Hand Painted - Hand Dyed for Spinning or Felting - 4oz - TARTSpinning Fiber (and some yarn)!
Great news fiber enthusiasts! I just found this great Etsy shop. Their fiber is so colorful and there is so much to choose from, it's called Spun Right Round.  Have fun choosing because I have a feeling you won't be able to choose just one. To the right is my favorite fiber! They also have great yarn there. :)
Also found an amazing blog called One Crazy Fiber Lady.

Handpainted yarn - Lightyears LF "Spotlight" -100% merino superwash 3-ply fingering weightKnittin' & Bloggin'
I've developed a habit of reading several different blogs. I don't know why but it's pretty entertaining so I decided to find a cool knitting blog, Knitting to Stay Sane.
The title was so true and the blog so funny I had to share it with my followers (0).
Anyway after I found the blog I decided I'd have to find an amazing yarn store on Etsy for you guys.
Now I feel guilty because I found the Alcidina. Their yarn is beautiful . . .and expensive. But I couldn't resist.
And the picture on the side is not even the most wonderful one. :)

Crochetaganza!
Since I already found a yarn store at Etsy (Alcidina) I decide I was going to find a pattern for you crochet lovers and a blog. For the blog I found Crochet Attic.
Don't know if the lady is keeping up with it though. And for the pattern I didn't know what to search for.
So if you have any suggestions leave a post in the comments.

Yarn Catastrophe!

Sorry I didn't include this in my post earlier today but I just realized something. How am I supposed to wind up my yarn without a yarn swift or a ball winder?
So I used the magical Google which led me to wikiHow. It has the ball method and the center pull method and you can find both here.

Spin all the Fibers!
