Agh! Blogger Gone Bad!

Wow this is way worse than last time. School has not been my friend lately. Way too much homework, sick days, and pure laziness has kept me from blogging.
Lately I've been working on a basic pair of toe up socks. If you want the pattern you can find it on knitfreedom.com
I'm also still working on that hat. Don't laugh at me but I already gave up on my lenten promise, may GOd forgive me, but my spinning has been too tempting that's why I haven't gotten much knitting done.
I desperately want to go on a fiber shopping spree for some angora. It's so soft how can I keep resisting temptation?
I'm also excited to hear that I have another niece or nephew on the way. Can't say since I don't know it's gender yet. And we shall call it Wild Child.
I'm not sure if I have any followers so I wanted to know if I had any before I announced a giveaway/raffle thing. So leave a post in the comments.

Spinning Tragedy

I'm so sorry I haven't blogged in a while. I have no excuse. So let me bring you up to date.
Since I have to have more than one project going this blog may take a bit. First I finished those lovely Zig Zag Socks in some old Elann Sock it to Me collection yarn. Although I don't recommend it because the pattern doesn't really show up well. I'll make sure to have some pictures up soon.
Now I'm working on this gorgeous cabled Irish Hiking Hat designed by Nicole Reeves. I'm doing it in teal and I think I'm going to give it to my drum line instructor. By the way we beat Dundee! Squeal!
These socks are really beautiful but I'm already having difficulty with them but I shall not give up on the prettiness! These are the Cimorene socks designed by Becky Greene. I wonder how she came up with the name for them?
Last but not least is the Diamond Waves Hat designed by Kaleigh McLelland. My dad has promised me a trip to the yarn store tomorrow to get yarn for this. The yarn in my stash isn't quite right for this project.  It's going to be my first fair isle project it was recommended for beginners. Hope I can figure it out!

Now for the Spinning Tragedy I mentioned in the title. As some of you may know lent started yesterday. I made the most giant mistake of my life and gave up my spinning. :( These next 6 weeks are going to be rough. Who am I kidding! It's already dreadful. I welcome support.
I'll post a picture of the bobbin I was working on before lent started. It's this beautiful hand painted merino blend from Spinning Hill in Bainbridge, NY.
