Well since I got a spinning wheel I decided I'd better start looking things up. So while I was reading this blog (I think it was a blog) I found this link to a cool plying technique called the Andean Bracelet.
It also lead me to this awesome store called Spunky Eclectic.
They have really good prices compared to competitors and their fiber looks amazing!
Today I had the best Christmas surprise ever! My mom gave me an Ashford Kiwi 2 spinning wheel! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! It is so perfect I love it so much and can't wait to use it. It also came with some plain white wool top I plan on dying with Kool-Aid.Color suggestions? Sorry there isn't any pictures but the computer will not cooperate.

No just any fiber batts, Angora Fiber Batts! I was Etsy surfing and found this amazing shop called AbbiesAngoraArt. She sells gorgeous batts in unique colors. She hand dyes them herself and they're made mostly from Angora from her bunnies. I also found SpunRightRound which is going to be at the Roc Day in Ithaca, NY selling stuff. I know I said I would spend my whole vacation working on this afghan but I found an old project that I really want to finish. My mom says they're ugly but I LOVE them, which may be because I have no fashion sense whatsoever as a geek teen, but nonetheless they rock! After school Friday we have 16 days of vacation from school. It's excessive but awesome! I'm so excited and I decided I needed a knit afghan because the crochet one I have is beautiful but the design has so many holes in it so it is extremely cold. Loving warmth and knitting I decided I'd try to embark on The Mindless Knitting, TV Watching, Scrap User-Upper Afghan.
I will certainly have fun on this project and I hope I get it done in the 16 days allotted.

I've decided that I need to spend more time on my fiber projects. So I'm starting the Fiber Challenge. And this challenge is not the kind a doctor would give you. . .usually. Every day try to spend at least an hour on your fiber projects, no matter how angry they make you.

I am so excited! I THINK I've convinced my mom to let me get a couple more drop spindles [:)]because I just broke my only one. :(
They're gorgeous, hand painted, and . . . on sale! I'm not even going to tell where I'm getting them because I'm scared someone else will get them and then I'll be devastated. So 'til Christmas 2014 I'll be working on drop spindles unless someone buys me an Ashford Kiwi 2 for Christmas. Oh well at least until then I'll have beautimous drop spindles to work on.

I had previously made myself a pair of mittens and I was really mad. When I was on the bus I realized I couldn't knit while wearing them! The worst catastrophe ever right? So I found Walden's Wood Mitts which is a really gorgeous pattern I've simply fallen in love with! <3 :) They're so perfect! Have fun making them. - SpinKnitLove12 :)
Sorry I didn't include this in my post earlier today but I just realized something. How am I supposed to wind up my yarn without a yarn swift or a ball winder?
So I used the magical Google which led me to wikiHow. It has the ball method and the center pull method and you can find both here.
Lately I've been using my drop spindle. And since I recently changed the name of my blog I decided I was going to share this awesome blog I've found. I mean it's so awesome! I wish I didn't have to go to school so I could spend my days spinning. Well anyway here's just a picture and weekendknitter.com is like the best blog ever! Totally recommend it.

Are you a fan of the Hunger Games? I got all caught up in the excitement and let's just say I found this really cute cowl type thing just like the one Katniss wears in the movies. It's a crochet and knitting pattern I found I Lion Brand. How exciting is that? Well anyway hears the link for the knitting pattern. And here is the link for the crochet pattern.
I just love headbands but I like over the top stuff too that makes me stand out. Since it's so hard to find good headband patterns nowadays I was so excited when I found this great headband pattern from a blog called North Thirty-Fourth.
It's gotten extremely cold up here in New York and I've decided to take a break on making socks and slippers(I gave up on the torridToes pattern). So I was surfing Lion Brand and found a perfect hat to help battle the cold. The Toboggan Hat.
Well since winter is coming fast I've decided to post two slipper patterns. For those who like ballerina style slippers I have found the Mary Jane Slippers (link) and for those who prefer full foot coverage I have found the torridToes Slipper Boots (link).
I've had a hard time trying to decide what to make fore my dad for Christmas so I used Google! :)
The only problem was I want to make a steering wheel cover (shown on the left) but the pattern is for knitting on a loom so I'm going to have to improvise. If you like loom knitting the link for the pattern is right here.

We had to do goal setting for Health class in school and I decided to make a chemo cap for a cancer patient.
So I found this wonderful website based on making chemo caps for those in need. I found it was just so wonderful. If you would like to pay it forward go to headhuggers.org
Here is the chemo cap I am currently making, it's easy too.
I was making some knee socks but I increased too much so now they're a hat for my sister!

Just went to the Fiber Festival in Hemlock, super fun. I got some alpaca yarn, super soft. I also got some amazingly super soft sheep wool. Next year I'll blog about the details in case you want to go because it is a fiber heaven and there are also classes if you want to learn something new.
